BCG scar still apparent?

Hi,

I had my BCG in November last year and had quite a bad reaction to it. It did not get infected but it took a long time to heal. Anyway, at the moment, there is what looks like bruising around the area of the injection site, which has been there for months now. My dad is a dentist and he says it is granulation tissue. I really want to get rid of this because it is quite unsightly, but I don't know what it is really or whether i can get rid of it. It is not the same as the scar tissue because there is a small circle of scar tissue which is not the same as the bruised/granulated area.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what this is and if there is any way i can get rid of it?

Thanks,

Jessica
