Post Lacking energy Any Ideas?

I have had a sinus cold for a couple of weeks but am now starting to feel better. But have no energy what so ever to even get up and go for a walk. Iam usally quite active and need to lose some weight and i love walking and such but have zero energy these days. Any ideas as to what would help give me some energy besides anything with epherdra. Thanks!

You probably have low energy because your immune system has been down because of your cold. Besides eating wholesome foods and exercising, you could try taking the herb Astragalus or Siberian Ginseng for some time. These greatly help the immune system to recover from illness and aids in energy. You can use them on a short-term or long-term basis. Another supplement you could try is the Swiss herbal tonic called Bio-Strath. It's very good for energy and recovery. You can get these supplements at your local health food store.

Also start taking a good multivitamin supplement as well as a good antioxidant supplement so that you keep your immune system healthy and have many sinus/cold problems or other respiratory illnesses.

Agree with suggestion to take a good multi vitamin and jen's suggestion on astragalus and siberian ginseng. Note that due to new labelling laws "siberian ginseng" is now turning up labelled as Eleutherococcus or Eleuthero for short. I personally find that Eleuthero is a very trustworthy energy provider, but you must be patient with it. It may take a few weeks to really kick in, but once it does, it has a great effect of keeping you energized without compromising your sleep. I recommend 6-7 capsules per day, a few in the morning and then in the afternoon on an empty stomach if possible. There is also a good but expensive extract product called Sibergin, of which you only need 1-2 capsules/day. I would advise steering clear of regular caffeine consumption as well. And make sure you exercise. Our bodies are designed to move! Best of luck!
