It's a great question, but when you look for info, different sources list different "Top 10's." But the following seem to be the ones that commonly come up in some way or another:

Kiwi, Guava, Watermelon, Cantaloupe, Blueberry, Banana, Tomatoes, Papaya, Apricots, Sweet Red Pepper, Avocado, Mango

Also, they are good for different things and have different healing properties and nutrient combinations, and so it is important to get a fairly broad range of fruits in your diet. It is also more beneficial nutrient-wise and healthier for your body to eat organic as much as possible.

No difference nutrion-wise between organic & non-organic. The nutritional difference is in the ripeness when picked & the time beween picking & eating.

Well, it would be interesting to know what your source for that supposition is.

Fact is, the Soil Association in the U.K. just completed a study that showed a clear long-term decline in the trace mineral content of fruit and vegetables and found that on average, organic produce has higher vitamin C, higher mineral levels and higher phytonutrients – plant compounds that can fight cancer – than conventional food. This was attributed primarily to differences in soil fertility management and its effects on soil ecology and plant metabolism. Organic crops also contained significantly less nitrates (a toxic compound) than conventional crops, along with lower amounts of some heavy metals compared to conventional ones. Organic produce also contains less water than conventional produce; the higher water content also tends to dilute nutrient content.

Tests with people and animals eating organic food show it makes a real difference to health, and alternative cancer therapies have achieved good results relying on the exclusive consumption of organic food due to it introducing less toxics materials into the body and higher nutrients for health repair.

Well !'d have to know more about "their study" as the Soil Association is a particularly biased group with their own agenda who always discount "other studies" that reach a different conclusion than they do.

Btw, please name even one scientific heavy-hitter in the pro-organic food movement who has ever claimed eating organic produce will "cure" cancer.

I leave you with this quote from a keynote address given by Dr. Wm. Lockeretz at the 1997 international organic farming & nutrition conference:

"I wish I could I could tell you that there is a clear consistent nutritional difference between organic & conventional foods. Even better, I wish I could tell you the difference is in favour of organic. Unfortunately though from my reading of scientific literature, I do not believe such a claim can responsibly be made".

Dr. Lockeretz has been one of the scientific heavy-hitters in the pro-organic food movement for over two decades, was co-founder of The American Journal of Alternative Agriculture, as well as being Professor at Tufts University's Friedman School of Nutrition Science. If such person with the stature of Dr. Lockeretz IN THE ORGANIC COMMUNITY clearly isnt buying the organic- is-more-nutritious "story", why should I?
