Senna is a stimulant laxative and should only be used once in a while. Stimulant laxatives, even natural ones, really should be a last resort in treating constipation. Believe it or not, there is something called laxative addiction. When such laxatives are used on a regular basis, the colon comes to depend on them, more is needed as time goes on, and you'll not be able to have a bowel movement with out them. Don't ever make any decision on a supplement only based on what some employee at a health store tells you. I'm a big fan of alternative medicine but I've also learned how some natural substances can be dangerous. You may want to think about something like Metamucil. It's not a laxative in the true sense but it softens and bulks up the stools to promote regularity. I've been taking it daily for over a year now with good results.

This is the problem, I have be drinking Senna tea and for the last 4 day I'm not able to go to the bathroom. What can I do.
My advice should not be used as any replacement for seeing a doctor (which you may have to) or diagnosis. When I started having constipation problems, I soon discovered I wasn't drinking nearly enough water. The average person should drink about 8-8oz. glasses of water every day. This does not include other common beverages we consume. Take a look at your diet, amount of exercise, and stress levels as well, which are just basic factors in constipation. There are so many things that can cause constipation including Irritable Bowel Syndrome and chronic or serious illness. If you haven't already, you may want to check out the Bowel Disorders board but please don't make a choice simply based on what any person may "tell you to do". I've seen some false claims being promoted on these boards as misleading confident factual information. Beyond this, you will have to decide where you go from here. I hope this helps.

THanks isolated -
I think, I will stop drinking Senna tea and drink more WATER. I just see what happens in a couple of days. Thank for you advise.
Water is one of the things used to promote regularity. If you haven't gone in four days though, I would not rely on only higher water intake to cure the problem. Just wanted to be sure there was no misunderstanding prevention from treatment.
