I was wondering if anyone knew of any over the counter vitamins that regulate blood pressure? Thanks.

It somewhat depends on what is causing the hypertension, but these have been found to help considerably -

Garlic
Essential Fatty Acids like Evening Primrose or Flaxseed Oil
Omega 3 Fish Oils
Magnesium
CoQ10 (emulsified/chewable form)
L-Carnitine

(Vit E in high doses has been found in some people to actually raise their bp)

There a NEW product out from Twinlab called Blood Pressure Control which contains C-12 Peptide. Do a search. It sells at discount for about $22 for 60 tabs. It was tested in the USA & Japan.

POTASSIUM !

Eat lots of bananas, apples, and citrus fruits. Best of all, go to a healthfood store and buy a bottle of organic Apple Cider Vinegar. It has alot of potassium, which can help prevent ( or controls ) high blood pressure.
Do not use the ACV from the ordinary supermarket..it is 'dead' !

I am not too sure about potassium-supplements in pill-form. Too much of this mineral can be dangerous, especially for people with a kidney disorder.
But most importantly tye, eat healthy goodies like fruits and veggies, monitor your BP AND talk to your doctor if your measurements continue to be high, ok ?

@ NatApoth. What is considered high doses of vitamin E ? ...I never heard that vit. E can raise your BP

I take up to 800 I.U...is that too much

Could you please tell me where you've learned this from ? Thank's

I don't know about the high blood pressure link, but I do know that vitamin E is a natural blood thinner and nobody needs to take 800 I.U. of this...you're most certainly flushing most of it down the toilet as your body can't use this much. And in light of the blood thinning properties, you may want to cut that at least in half, if not more. I'm a petite female and I won't take over 200 IU. My husband takes at the very most 400 IU. And trust me, that's more than enough for either of us.
