suplements for menstrual cramps

Okay im asking just in case somebody knows. I like to live as healthy as possible and would like to stop taking tylenol each month for some more natural alternatives. I know natural alternatives works just as good and in cases even better and no side effects. Im aware that acetaminophen is not good a healthy drug for the liver and I dont have any other choice because Im allergic to aspirin. I was thinking blood thinner supplements might help and Im sure there must be homeopathic supplements that should work so I would like to try. If anybody has any feedback I will appreciate

Re: suplements for menstrual cramps

Hi NightAngel,
I'm all about natural remedies myself so hopefully I can help!
I take a preventative approach to cramps. I take calcium citrate capsules (2)every day along with my multi-vitamin. I used to get really bad cramps but since taking calcium every day I rarely get them. The calcium won't get rid of cramps if you were to start taking them, say, on the day you get the cramps. However, if you start taking them every day you should definitely see an improvement within a short while.
I don't know off hand of any homeopathic remedies for cramps - although I'm sure there are some.
Hope this helps.

that sounds like a plan. In fact I have been looking forward trying calcium citrate for other reasons too, like for bones and for the ibs so this will be another good reason to get it. I will definetly give it a try thanks.
