All depends on what multi-mineral/vitamin you are taking. Many minerals and vitamins can act as antioxidants as well as a few herbs. Taking a multi-mineral/vitamin can be helpful to your body in that it will help allow your body to create enough of it's own antioxidants. A good number of vitamins, enzymes and minerals will not be absorbed by just a capsule or tablet.
I take Nutrilite Multi vitamin out of Ada Michigan and it's all nautural. I did see where it only provides less than 100 units of Vit. E so I take an all natural Vit. E 400IU but not every day. I couldn't remember if one could get too much vit.E or not. hmmm......
If you were taking synthetic vitamin e then I would worry about taking too much but since it isn't I wouldn't be too concerned. I take over 400 i.u.s everyday.Flavonoids are also excellent antioxidents so is selenium but with selenium you can have too much of, I safely take 200 mcgs. Grape Seed extract is even more potent than vitamin e, another excellent antioxident. There are quite a few really good antioxidents available.
