WHEN to take the vits and supps?
Anybody know of a good guideline of when to take the different vitamins, minerals, and other supplements? And, what to take them with? For instance, if you take l-arginine with a caffeinated beverage, you're killing its effects, as caffeine constricts blood vessels, killing the (can't remember the medical term) widening of them, to increase blood flow. Also, I know some supplements shouldn't be taken with grapefruit juice. Cold-eze (zinc lozenge) isn't supposed to be taken with citrus. What about DHEA? Even fish oil, or any others for that matter. Any good resources out there to help us figure this out?
Also, has anybody found a good resource for determining 'absorption time' for food in the stomach? Some herbs should be taken on an empty stomach, so is 2 hours after a heavy meal OK? How about 1 hour after drinking juice? How long does it take ice cream to digest?
