B-Complex question

I just started taking B-Complex (by origin) because Ive heard such good things about it, and I needed to take something because I have a VERY low immune system, and I do not eat well at all. I just read on some websites though that you should take B-complex vitamens because its not good for you andcan actually make you more stressed and stuff. Does anyone know which is true?

As a long time alcohol abuser my doctor recommended B complex vitamin suppliments. It seems like every time I take one it increases my angziety (sp?) levels so I quit them for a while. Just today I bought a bottle of B50 vitamins and took one with dinner. I'm now jumpy as hell and would be reluctant to drive. No more B's for me.

well I do know that B complex is good for energy and helps beat stress. sounds like your jumpiness could be attributed to a hi energy drive due to the B complex...

Taking a B-Complex could give you extra energy (as it should). That
could be the reason you "feel" anxious. However, if you're deficient, you
need the additional B's. Try supplementing with 400mgs. of Magnesium daily.
Magnesium has a calming neuro effect. Hope that helps!

I think I may have to "dry out" a little more before I try anything else. The feeling I had last night felt like the onset of the DT's. Also I ate out last night and had coffee and may have inadvertantly had something with MSG in it. MSG makes me crazy. Thanks for the advice from all. I may try the Magnesium, on it's own in the interum. But no B's for a while.
