all the supplements we can take can be compromised in integrity when we eat or drink or take other supplements. Using a cream allows better absorption of the active ingredient that we need without fighting for absorption in our stomach with something else that might be in there. Its easier to rub a spot of cream on daily instead of trying to time what supplement to take when and how many hours before you ate.
