Omega 3 Help.

I have read more and more on how important Omega3 Fatty Acids are, but every time i take those fish oil pills, i end up burping fish all throughout the day, so I was wondering what alternatives exist.

Some that i have found are Flax seed oil, Shark Liver Oil, Seal oil.

I have read that flax seed oil can cause prostate cancer in men who take it, but its harmless to women. I did read it from a good source, WebMD, so I stopped taking flax seed oil. I also read, that if you dont keep the caplets refrigerated and use them quickly, they become rancid and are actually harmful to use. Is there any truth to these statements?

Shark Liver Oil, i dont think would help my original problem, of burping up fish throughout the day. Seal oil was interesting to me, considering that its a mammal, i thought maybe it wouldnt have the fish taste problem, although they do live in the ocean most of their lives. I havent tried it yet because i am an animal lover, and to me seals are adorable, wouldnt like the idea of killing them just to take as a supplement.

Are there any alternative sources of Omega 3 Fatty Acids that I havent found out of yet? I would much rather it be some sort of plant or herb if possible, but i'd love to hear any suggestions.

Canola oil has a ratio of 2:1 (omega6 - omega3). If most of your fat were from canola oil (mayonnaise, sauteing veggies, salad oil, etc) then you would be eating a good balance of omega6 to omega3 in your diet, without the fish, and without buying expensive supplements.
