I seriously need vitamin advice

I currently take the following:

Calcium/Magnesium 333/166mg 2 x day

Fish Oil 1000mg 2 x day

Vit C 1000mg 1 x day

B-50 once a day

I have IST (tachycardia) for which I take propranolol and anxiety for which I take klonopin. I am 31 years old and trying to lose the last 10 lbs of baby weight (had abby 1 year ago).

I heard Dr Weil on the Today show and am thinking that I am not taking the right stuff. My Dr is not into vitamins and gives no advice on this really. I have noticed since taking hte Fish Oil that my PVCs have decreased. Bt other than that, I feel not better what so ever. I started taking the vitamins hoping to feel better. I am VERY fatigued and need energy without raising my heart rate.

Should I be taking CoQ10 and Selenium? Should I change my supplements?? Please help as I really have no where to turn with these qustions.

I've read you should avoid CoQ10 if you're breastfeeding -- just thought I'd mention that just in case since you recently had a child.

Fatigue, especially in women, can be a sign of iron deficiency. Has your doctor checked you for this? Don't overdo any iron supplements as it stays in your system.

You might think about taking more vitamin C, I take a total of 10 grams a day, myself, but not in one dose. You might try taking 1 gram twice a day instead of once and see if that makes a difference. You might also try niacin, it works great for my nephew for social anxiety. You could try taking 500mg of niacinamide. My nephew takes the hexanicotinate form which is more expensive, but niacinamide makes him lose his appetite. Hexanicotinate is another flush free form of niacin.

You could also check to see if you are being affected by any food allergies, they can cause tiredness. To do that you have to avoid potential allergens for 4 days. The easiest way is to only eat foods you do not usually eat for 4 days, especially do not eat gluten or dairy products or eggs. If you feel better after 4 days then you can gradually try the foods you have been avoiding to figure out which ones are causing the problem. One important thing to know is that food allergies often increase the heart rate, so you may be able to solve that problem if you discover that you do have food allergies. For more information you can read the book "brain allergies" which mostly deals with how food allergies can cause mental illness, but they do talk about one woman who was fatiqued from her allergies and the instructions they give for finding out which foods are causing problems apply to any type of symptoms.

Take a multi-vitamin/mineral supplement with what you're taking now. Don't feed your mind with all of this other supplement garbage. For woman, taking a multi with a calcium, and in some cases iron supplement, is all that is needed for the body.
