Supplements and Anxiety

Hello all. Question. I'm taking a multi-vitamin currently. I take one 3 times daily. Along with other vitamins it has 500mg of calcium and 250mg of magnesium. The question: Can i add a combo supplement of cal/mag to help relieve the jittersand edgeyness? If so how much more? I just don't want to overdue it on the two. Should i get something that has both? just magnesium? Look forward to hearing back from you guys.

You're taking a multi vitamin 3 times a day? If so, that's probably what is giving you the jitters! Usually, multi's are taken once a day. Try that and see how you feel.

Really? "I never heard that before. Why do they do that? And do you have any suggestions on what to take? I need to take something because i'm hypoglycemic but I definetly don't want the shakes more than I have them already. Thanks for the information. Hope to hear back from you.

I agree with Singer. Some vitamins are toxic in larger doses. Vitamin A for one.
Too much magnesium can cause diarrhea.
There are things which can help regulate blood sugar. Cinnamon is one of them. There's another one, but can't quite remember the whole name. Picolinate something, or Something picolinate.
Have you tried smaller meals and more protein? Low blood sugar jitteryiness can often be relieved by protein consumption.
I don't know if your everyday vitamins would help with the hypoglycemia.

Were you having anxiety before you started the vitamins? If the anxiety started when you began the vitamins you had better switch brands because maybe the brand you are using has fillers or something that you react to.

If you already had problems with anxiety before you could try 500mg of niacinamide and 3 grams of vitamin C twice a day. That works for my nephew except he actually uses the other non flush form of niacin, but niacinamide is easier to find.
