The kind I am taking I get from my doctor and it is $130 for 60 days (outrageous, I know). I was wanting to find a brand that was a bit cheaper, but still top quality.

I agree. That is a lot of money. What potency are your capsules? How many milligrams? Higher potency capsules tend to cost more. The best CoQ10, in my opinion, is Q-Gel. It is hydrosoluble, and absorbs much better than most other forms of CoQ10. As far as I know, it is not available in stores, but it can easily be purchased online. The Q-Gel I use costs $27.50 for a two month supply (60 capsules). They are 60mg capsules. A two month supply of 100mg capsules will cost $41.00.

Mine are 400mg and High potency/absorbency. You can only get them from a health professional, I guess that is why they cost so much. I was checking out the NSI brand...it says
"100% natural "trans" form, imported directly from Japan. Synthetic CoQ10 is processed using tobacco and contains "cis isomer", a non-natural molecule. NSI®'s CoQ10 is 100% naturally fermented, producing a version identical to the human body's own CoQ10"

So...I am guessing this is better then the stuff you get at the drug store?? Also, Andrew Lessman's CoQ10 has resveratrol and EGCG in it. I don't know if that makes it better??

Just about all of the CoQ10 comes from Japan. The Q-Gel brand that I am using is also the 100% natural trans form. But if you are taking 400mg capsules, then it's not surprising that you are paying a lot more.

I found a brand called "NOW" that is identical to the brand I am currently taking, and is only $77 for a months supply. I have CFS so am getting all my vitamins from my doctor, who of course probably jacks up the price and prescribes ones that you can only get through health professionals. If I knew that the Coq10 I am currently taking was the "best" and better then the comparable ones you can buy at vitamins stores, I would have no prob. spending the extra money, but when the formulas are identical, I just don't get it....Like i am taking Enada NADH and you can buy it for$33 online, but I get Enada NADH from my doctor which is the EXACT same packaging and potency only it says it is from their "advanced" labs and therefore you can only get it through health professionals, and it is $60.
