Can someone explain the benifits of a magnesium supplements. I recently picked up some with Vit. C as well.

Where to begin...Its involved in over 300 enzymatic actions in the body second only to Vit B-6. Main notables are lowing high blood pressure, provides energy for muscle cells (ATP), helps calcium absorb and form bone density, muscle spasm's etc...I take it twice a day for its benefits (magnesium citrate).......

Yes, what 6foot3 said is certainly true. Magnesium is very important in many respects. As for myself, I take Magnesium Asporotate, which is a formulation that provides magnesium aspartate, magnesium citrate, and magnesium orotate.

Numero UNO: no supplement is as useful in promoting a steady rhythmical heart beat.

Anyone with palpitations or tachycardia should try magnesium before anything else...it often works wonders.

I picked up some super Mag. Which contains Vit. C-250mg and Magn.400mg
I am going to take it once a day. It was reccommended to me by a friend for very slow bowels and not being able to relax. I always feel like I have to be on the go. The only thing that ever scares me is I was born with only one kidney and don't want to chance anything with it. Any advice?
