Beta-Sitosterol is the component in Saw Palmetto and Nettle leaf that helps balance androgens for acne, hirsutism, male pattern baldness, etc. So perhaps you could look for such information on Saw Palmetto. Probably easier to find.
I've seen discussions in the acne board and SweetJade1, who does a lot of research on the subject, didn't think beta-sitosterol or Saw Palmetto would cause a problem. The discussion involved a couple of men who were taking spironolactone for acne and it did affect their libido. But at least one was also taking a small amount of estrogen as well. Also, these things all work differently and I can never keep it straight how each works.
