Hi

I'm new here and wanted to raise a question about CLA that does not yet seem to have been addressed in previous threads concerning this supplement.
I tried CLA for approx. a week several months ago and was frightened by the results in the sense that my abdominal muscles became extremely defined and too built looking for my taste. While I appreciate this would not be a problem for most, I am a small person and find the extra bulk disconcerting and uncomfortable to live with. Although nothing had changed in terms of my eating habits and activity, when taking CLA my weight increased by several lbs. Any opinions as to whether this was due to muscle building or just plain old weight gain (which doesn't make sense, as my weight doesn't tend to fluctuate that much.)
After doing some more reading, I decided to give CLA another shot. I've been using it for about a week now, taking 4 1000 mg tablets a day as I a published study states that in quantities of less than 3.6 g / day, CLA is inefficient and preventing fat storage. Again, I see a strengthening of muscles and body tone that is more lean, however, the abdominal section results bother me - waist does seem to be tapered (which is great) but upper and lower ab - torso area seem to "bulge" out too much. Any suggestions as to what can be done for this? Would anyone know if this is likely to continue or become more dramatic with prolonged consumption of the CLA?
Thanks for your help!
