In 2005, I read a story that researchers in England fround that omega-3 and omega-6 oils can improve the behavior of rowdy kids and help language skills. The 65 children had a seven month delay in lanugage skill, but made a nine month improvement (over the 5-months of the study). At the start of the study 47 per cent of the parents rated their child's behavior as poor or very poor. At the end of the study the figure was four per cent. The researchers concluded that the improvement in the child-parent bond played the most fundamental role in facilitating the changes in the development of the children's language skills.

I'm wondering if anyone one else has tried fish oil supplements for their kids, or heard about using supplements to improve their language skills. I don't have any kids myself, but I thought that the study was so interesting. However, it got almost no play in the media.
