Exclamation Need advice on supplements please!

I am currently planning on taking the following supplements. Please let me know if i am over doing anything. I think I could do without the Enzymatic Therapy Peppermint Plus and the NSI Calcium Magnesium & Vitamin D. What do you think? I'm 22. Fairly athletic. I don't have a very good diet because eating healthy and cheap is a rare thing to find. I also have Irritable Bowel Syndrome. I would be asking my doctor but I don't have one anymore because I am without insurance. So anyone's opinions and help would be appreciated.

Re: Need advice on supplements please!

The money you would spend on all these supplements (yikes!) you could buy quality organic food instead. You don't indicate any medical problems other than IBS and I think your IBS might be made even worse overloading your system with all these things. I also thinking taking supplements that we don't really need makes our system weaker and more difficult to function optimally on its own, which is what it's meant to do.

Also, at 22 you shouldn't need a truckload of vitamins! I would research IBS and find out what exactly is the alternative recommendation. Probably changing your diet alone would suffice.

Best,

Jen

NSI Synergy 3000® Multi-Vitamin Version 11
To clarify, is that long list the numbers for this multi-vitamin??? Some of those look really high!, really, really high!
It is not that expensive to eat well, add a B c.omplex, maybe D, C, and what you find is missing from your diet.

Re: Need advice on supplements please!

To add on, I agree about the organic foods. I don't want to advertise a certain product on here, but they do sell superfood, which I have a lot of experience with and works really well.

In the "long list" vitamin supplement, the problem with those is that there are some vitamins/minerals that absorb really well with food, and those that only absorb well without food. So how do you really get everything?

Re: Need advice on supplements please!

If you only take ONE, take the AHCC.

Read up on it, its truly been a miracle for alot of people I know. One is a friends wife who used it as a treatment and cure for her cancer at the age of 24. Research it

Re: Need advice on supplements please!

The algae-based supplement Chlorella is packed with vitamins, minerals, fatty acids and amino acids that give your body a different kind of nourishment than any other supplement on the market. Articles are written hundreds of times a day about this supplement and the amazing things that it can provide for your body. One of the most significant and proven effects of taking Chlorella supplements is the energy that you receive throughout the day. The energy retail market today is cluttered with unhealthy, high sugar and caffeinated products that may sometimes claim to be “all natural”. In reality, one of the most pure forms of natural energy can come from a simple Chlorella supplement. Chlorella is made up of 61 to 70 percent protein that is 95 percent digestible. It also includes a substance called Chlorophyll, which is known to detoxify the body and removes the damaging toxins and materials your body retains. Chlorella is clearly a very versatile and beneficial super food for your body.
