Arnica to reduce bruising???

Hi! I am getting nose surgery done next month, I know there is going to be bruising around and under my eyes, and i'm looking for ways to reduce the swelling faster. I have heard Arnica Gel (i think it comes in a pill form too) can greatly reduce bruising. My surgeon even recommended it... Has anyone ever heard of this or used Arnica? Does anyone know any other tips or tricks to reduce bruising faster? I am also told that pineapples may help (due to the bromelain) and of course reducing sodium in my diet. (which will be hard b/c i know i eat WAAY too much sodium) Anyway.. any other advice would be greatly helpful.. I can only take 10 days off of work, so i am looking to be presentable by then =) Thanks everyone!!

Re: Arnica to reduce bruising???

Yes, Arnica would be a good choice for this. You can take high dose of the homeopathic pellets in addition to application of the gel. I have used Arnica throughout the years with good results.

RE: sodium: Salt has gotten a bad rep, but salt is actually beneficial if it is the pure sea salt variety. It is the Morton's Salt that is problematic because it has been refined and stripped of its minerals but also because it contains harmful additives which contribute to hypertension as well as many other problems. Natural sea salt, such as Real Salt and Himalayan Salt, is actually healthy as it contains many minerals that our body needs.
