| Fish Oil and gunk in the bottle. What is that???
I buy a highly reputable fish oil in liquid form. The oil is virtually clear in appearance.
Overtime, as it sits in the refrigerator, a thick, white-colored residue builds up inside the bottle. It happens like this in every bottle I buy. Usually, it takes only days for the white stuff to appear, so it's not like the oil is rancid and old.
Sometimes the white residue is minimal, perhaps remaining in the lower inch of the bottle. The clear oil remains above this white buildup.
But sometimes it builds it to over half the bottle. So I am left with half clear oil and half white buildup.
My concern is:
(1) What is this white build up?
(2) Is this white stuff edible?
(3) Why does it build up a lot sometimes and at other times hardly appears?
