hyperparathyroidism

Just curious if anyone knows the answer to this question. I have been having elevated calcium for over a year and a half. My new Endocrinologist decided to do a Parathyroid or PTh test and it turned out to be 80 which was slightly elevated.

Then yesterday when I saw him again, he repeated the same test and said he wanted to recheck the PTh to see if it was elevated again.

I thought once the PTh is elevated, it is always elevated. Has anyones PTh levels ever gone back down to normal?

Thanks!
