hey everyone.. most the forums i found on the topic are older, though good tjhreads, it seems many new products have come out since those threads ended and i was looking to create a new one to get the best advice/information up to date...

so this thread isnt really meant specifically to be which multivitamin is best for me.. but what other people use, their thoughts on them, and what people have learned about the multivitamins available now.

So.. feel free to post your thoughts on the topic, and tell us what you use and why, or what you dont use and why not...

I've been taking Rainbow Light Men's One for a short while. I've read that this one absorbs better than others, because it's food-based and not synthetic. I'm also wondering which multivitamin others here use and would recommend.

a couple years ago i took vit-min from now foods.. those were really well.. perishable so probably were food based... they really seemed to work well for me, but theyre the only ones ive taken before so i cant really compare, and im one of those people that can never be sure they have the best, until theyve tried them all.. so i guess maybe i should start buying multivitamins in 3 month supplies, changing to different brands each time to record the results i experience

did some research.. biotin and chromium seem to be good for metabolism and weight loss, D2 (ergocalciferol) doesnt absorb as well as D3 (clorecalciferol)

centrum doesnt look very complete at all.. one a days are OK.. both seem to be used to maintain good vitamin and mineral levels

the rainbow light men's one seems to be the best bang for the buck being a rather complete multivitamin for what seems about $6/month

champion multi vitamin + energy is quite complete as well about $8/month

with lower cost multivitamins offering the same quality and quantities of vitamins and minerals as higher cost brands, i dont see a purpose to go above $10-$12 for a month supply

supplements that pack their full daily serving into a single pill i like more because ive seen some brands that you need to take 6 or 9 pills a day.. thats a lot of pills

in the end.. i think im going to go with now adam.. which is a little over $9 a month if i purchase a 3 month supply... it has what i need personally for my goal of dieting and excersizing.. someone who doesnt do these things and want to maintain their health would probably find one a days or rainbow lights to be a better choice (in my understanding so far)
