On taking vitamin E supplements...

I was thinking of taking vitamin E supplements (tocopherol, to be more precise) to cure dandruff without fancy shampoos (that are generally harmful to my scalp).
The one thing that has me concerned are possible side effects.
As I am 17 years-old (male) and my body is still developing, I need to know if Vitamin E supplements may harm me in some way - physical or mental - and if it is safe to take them...
The pill I'm looking at is called Tocopherol, though I am open for other suggestions if available.
Thanks

Re: On taking vitamin E supplements...

You only need a teaspoon or few capsules per bottle of shampoo. I used to break a few into my shampoo bottles.
