If that is all your eating your shedding away pounds of muscle. Your body will burn muscle first and save the fat for reserves if it thinks it is STARVING!! Try eating more and exercising.
I agree with Musclemom--you gotta eat. It's not necessarily about eating less & being more active. It's about eating more "healthy" and being active. You can eat the same amount of food today and accumulate less calories and fat by making smarter choices!!!
Sure, eating a bowl of soup a day and nothing else will cause you to lose weight; but that's not just fat,my dear! You are starving yourself---therefore; you are ultimately losing your life! I know that sounds a bit dramatic--but that's exactly what you are doing--starving yourself to death. I'm wondering how you have the energy to be more active with so little nourishment???
Well, you have the right idea, but you are taking it too far; way too far.
Yes, you should always strive to make better food choices and exercise in a way that feels right to you. But eating a bowl of soup a day? How long do you figure you can keep that up, and what do you think will happen when you stop?
Wow they let us know how it feels once you slip so far into starvation mode your body starts consuming it's own organs for energy to survive.
Oh and then when you do start eating again don't come crying to me when you gain back everything you lost and about twice as much because it will happen.
Yes eat less and move more is the basic concept for weight loss but not eat nothing! You can make a great soup to eat for loss that still meets a lot of dietary guidelines . Take a vegetable stock throw in any veggies you can find and a can of tomoto puree then add soem sort of lean meat ground lean beef, trukey lean cut steak of some sort whatever floats your boat but get that protein in then if you didnt get the startchy veggie sin throw in some pearl pasta or soemthing for a little bit of carb. Make a huge pot every 4 or 5 days and have it. 1 bowl ( and I am talking LARGE bowl) is about 300-400 calories depending on the meat you used and extremely low fat. It's filling it's satisfying it will give you a ton of nutrients and energy you NEED to live. If you want you can do the soup lunch and dinner or one or the other but you need to eat! It is possible to lose weight and still eat. Also make sure you are eating breakfast! You need some protein!
