Post info on pedometer's??

Does anyone know how those pedometer's work? I was considering getting one since I work at a casino I was curious to know how much I walk everynight but I didn't want to waste money. Has anyone used one? If so what was your experience?

I used one. It was an El Cheapo brand, around $10... it did not work AT ALL. Maybe I should have invested more money... but it was WAY off. I would go for my walks and then "drive it" and it was WAY WAY off. Not the worst $10 I ever spent, but close to it. Don't buy a cheap one Good luck!

You must be sure to measure your stride length and input it correctly into the pedometer or you won't get an accurate reading! I have a Bally's total fitness pedometer. I don't use it too often except for maybe the alarm clock part of it when I travel! I have been thinking of wearing it again--just to see how much I'm moving. The only thing is when I clip it to my waist; it's so easy to lean up against something and then clear the whole thing!
