Hello everyone! I am back on the Mayo diet in the morning. I have had my 2 days off. Anyone want to start back with me in the morning??? Good luck to you all!!!
Tell me more about this Mayo diet please. I went on the web and found out that it has nothing to do with the Mayo-clinic. But does it work? It sounds pretty easy to do. Did you loose weight and was it easy? I am very interested! Need to loose about 25 pounds and of cours within the shortest amount of time...
Hi Squeeky!!! Yes, it does work. I have lost 16 pounds so far. I have been on it 2 sets of 12 days. I cheated some the last 12 days. What can I say with all of those Memorial Day cookouts? I could have lost a lot more if I would have tried harder. I will work harder tomorrow. Are you going to try it???
I am on my 6th day and it is going well..not sure how much I have lost but my clothes are looser (yeah!)
I will have my first weigh-in tomorrow and we will see!

JoJo - how was your 2 days off? what kind of things did you have? I havent had too many cravings at all.
I think I would look more forward to NOT having eggs and bacon. It tastes good, but normally I would rather have a cold breakfast. Eggs and bacon are somthing I have occacionally (2-3x/mth)so this is very different for me!
Hi everyone, JoJo I am going to start tomm. also, I waited so long because I wanted to start on a Mon. so my days off will be Fri and Sat. I really want to do this! I was at the mall over the weekend ad saw all cute styles they have out for summer, that really motivated me, so everytime I am about to give up I am just going to go to the mall (LOL). I am also going to exercise, 6-7 days a week. Well I hope if I really work hard, eat all the foods I should, drink lots of water, and exercise, I will reach my July goal. (30lbs). Do you think I could do it??

Started 6/15/03
I started it in the middle of the day of last Friday..I decided not wait for today. So I jumpred right in. So far so good except "AF" arrived and so the water weight will be here for a few days...but nontheless I'm going to hang in there.
Good morning!!! I started my diet back again this morning. I got up, walked a mile on my treadmill, took a shower, and had my bacon, eggs, and grapefruit. I feel so good right now. After I ate, I made all 4 beds and did my other cleaning. I think I will do some laundry now and I am going outside to lay out in the sun for a couple of hours. How is everyone else doing? Good luck!

I'm planning to start the Mayo Diet next Monday I wish I could have started today but I'm having a big party and I know I will cheat. JoJo, Do you exercise besides doing house work? If so what kind?

Mandy, How did you do today??? Snoopy, days off are wonderful. Just don't go overboard. I usually pick that one thing I really want. My friend eats everything...LOL! Squeeky, did you start today? First day down and it actually went really well. My husband and I do work different shifts and both evening ones, and I have to fix the meals ahead of time to take with us. I think we did pretty good and I hope to keep it up. For dinner we had friend polish sausage and a big salad.
Hey everybody, Well I did well in the morning, I had lots of bacon two eggs and grapefruit juice. But later that day I felt horrible so I did not eat all day. I think it is because I got about thre hours of sleep. Tommarrow I hope I feel alot better! I have some questions though, Is it ok that I have more then two pieces of bacon? And I ate Ceaser Dressing with my eggs, is that ok? (I hate eggs so I need to eat somethin with them!). Good luck everyone!

Thanks JoJo! I think I am in the groove now for the most part! For dinner I have a salad of course and I had cooked a roast in a slow cooker with carrots and potatoes only i didnt have the potatoes of course. The roast came out good. We ad the other half some time ago and it was pretty dry and tough. We decided to get a slow cooker and see if it would make a differance and did it! I found a deal on the cooker ($9.99! for a 2.3Q) It was worth it! I did also have a few fried pork skins..i need crunchy! Hope everyone else is doing well. It is time for bed! I really want to try this diet, but....can you drink alcohol on it? I am a college student & it is sumertime...well ya know. I don't want to cheat & was just curious.....
alliephilly, good question, but you won't find any "diet" that allows you alcohol, simply because alcohol can cause a spike in insulin, it is usually heavy in cals, etc. I am single and go out alot... I try to stick with drinks that won't put the weight on. I do food combining, so I can eat fruit and fruit juice by itself... so I choose unsweetened grapefruit juice and vodka. Stay away from rum and beer (the low carb beer is good if you are following carbs but still higher in calories) another good drink is vodka and diet tonic with a squeeze of fresh lime.. Stay away from sugary drinks and frozen stuff too!
Well this is one diet that I could never stick too. LOL..nothing against you all for having the will power to do it though. I just can't STAND grapefruit. :P YUCKO! Too much acid.
