I've actually been following Atkins for the last 3 days or so. Which leads me to a question..maybe someone can help. If you follow Atkins and stay under the 20 grams of carbs allowed during induction; does it matter what your caloric intake is??? I have been staying around 1100-1200 and I'm wondering if I'm not losing much because my body feels like it's in "starvation mode". Normally, on a low-fat diet I would stay with 1200 calories. I was just wondering if calories make that much of a difference when it comes to success. I've been eating the things that are allowed: eggs, cheese, salad, dressing, chicken, fish, green beans, sf jello, etc. And I limit the amount of cheese each day because I read before that too much can hinder weightloss. I just feel like I'm doing something wrong!
