Post how often do you weigh?

How often do you weigh? When I am not doing so well on my eating plan, I tend not to weigh at all because I'm too afraid to see the number. When I'm expecting results, I turn into a person obsessed with weighing myself. I will weigh always in the am and then sometimes later just out of curiosity. When I do weigh, I tend to get on and off the scale a half dozen times, each time making sure it's zeroed properly and then stepping on oh so slowly and carefully. This morning I stepped on only once. I've lost 12 pounds on the mayo "clinic" diet in 8 days, and I feel great! Thought I'd better not get on and off again and leave well enough alone. What do you do?

Congrats onthe loss!! I used to be obsessed like you. On again, off again. If I even left on my gitchies then i deducted a pound!!! anyways, I gave up on the scale because i found it too discopuraging. As women our bodies retain water, go through hormonal changes all that can be deceiving on the scale. I have decided to weigh myself 1x per month. i have chosen the monday after *tom* is gone because then there will be no water retention and I seem to be pretty stable then. i also measure myself but again, I am only going to do it 1x per month. good luck and congrats again!

What does *tom* stand for exactly? I know it must be the menstral period.

I weigh in every morning, after I pee before I shower. I started the 3 day diet Monday though and I don't want to weigh in til Thursday. It's hard to stay away!!
