Talking I lost 5lbs. in one week... this is great!...

I really did loose 5lbs. in one week. I'm sure everyone will vary however I think you should give it a shot! For those of you who try it let me know how it goes. If anything it will help you eat less and more healthy.

Here it is:

The 3 Day on 4 Day off diet

This diet works on a chemical breakdown and is proven to work. Do NOT vary or substitute any of the food. Salt and peper may be used, but no other seasonings. This diet is to be used three days at a time. In three days you will lose weight! After 3 days of dieting you can eat your usual food but don't overeat. After 4 days of normal eating, start back on the three day diet. You will more than likely loose the most weight on your fourth week.

Day 1

Breakfast
black coffee or tea
1 grapefruit or juice
1 slice of toast
2 tblspoons peanut butter

Lunch
1 cup tuna or salmon
1 slice bread
coffee or tea

Dinner
2 slices sandwich meat(any type)
1 cup string beans
1 cup beets or carrots
1 small apple
1 cup vanilla ice cream

Day 2

Breakfast
black coffee or tea
1 egg
1 slice of toast
1 banana

Lunch
1 cup cottage cheese or tuna
5 saltine crackers
black coffee or tea

Dinner
2 hotdogs
1 cup broccoli or cabbage
1 cup carrots
1 banana
1/2 cup of vanilla ice cream

Day 3

Breakfast
black coffee or tea
5 saltine crackers
1 oz. cheddar sheese
1 small apple

Lunch
black coffee or tea
1 hard boiled egg
1 slice of toast

Dinner
black coffee or tea
1 cup tuna
1 cup beets or carrots
1 cup cantelope
1 cup cauliflower or greens
1 cup vanilla ice cream

You may fix this food anyway you like. You should eat all of the food at one time when specified to eat it. The coffee or tea must not have anything added. You can not eat anything else during the day only what is said that you can eat. You may drink water any time of the day. However, dring the coffee or tea with meals.
Good Luck, and don't forget to let me know how it goes.

Congrats Amanda! A few of us have been doing the 3-day diet this week. It's going great here so far!
I would like to add a couple of things though...I don't think it's true that you can't substitute. As long as you do it resonably, it seems to work out fine...I've read people sub yogurt for the cottage cheese and i subed the grapefruit for an orange (because all of the grapefruit looked border-line rotten in the store) and all that meat for vegetarian option like cottage cheese for tuna, gardenburger chik-n-grill for baked chicken, and it seems to be working out really well. Of course you wouldn't have much success if you subed a large pizza for 2 slices of meat but I think that reasonable substitutions help to make it a palatable diet for those who can't stand some of the items. jmho...
and also, i'm wondering what the "chemical breakdown" explanation is? if you have anymore info, I would be very interested. it seemed just to be a very low fat/cal and balanced carb/protein diet to me?
anyway...congratulations again! it sure is nice to have something that works well enough to keep you motivated, huh?

Talking

I just finnished up my second week on the diet and I lost 5 more lbs!!!! I start my diet on Monday and go off on Thursday so I am really excited about starting week 3 of the diet. I was up to 186 now I'm down to 176!!! My goal is 150. I weighed 135 three years ago, uh hum, before I got married , what can I say life is good!
I got the diet from my sister in law's boyfried's Mom. She (Vicky) is a RN and I think they give this diet to patients with high blood pressure to help them loose weight before they go into heart surgery. Anyhow, after Vicky's fourth week she lost a total of 25lbs.!
Let me know how it goes for you all.

On the tuna, is that fixed like you would for a sandwich. Like with pickles?? Or just plain.
