well today is day one and I'm feeling ok... a little strange not eating bread with my eggs this morning. But breakfast was yummy anyhow. Now I am working on a salmon salad with celery and cheese for lunch and it's awesome... better than my "old" lunches ever were!!
One question.... How often should I be weighing myself now that I have started Atkins? I don't want to become obsessive with the scale, but I do want to know if I'm losing.

I have another question... I have read about people using salsa for flavour... do you have to use a specific type, or is all salsa low in carbs?

Hi chipmunkis (cute name). I am also starting atkins (again). I have started a few times actually. The first 3 days were always hard but once your over the hump it gets easier. I also felt crummy the first couple of days but the energy did come a few days later.
I could never tolerate so many eggs so I just drink an atkins shake with my vitamins in the morning. The food can be great, it just takes time. My weakness is fast food. I have 3 kids and sometimes I just don't take the time. Try using the ketostix (available at grocery stores). They are very motivating. Don't get discouraged if you fall off temporarily.
Thanks posie I will keep that in mind! I am really excited about doing this, but a little nervous too... I haven't actually EVER been on a diet, or changed my eating habits before and I really am a carboholic- I crave bread and pasta, not sweets, so it's hard that way. But I really want to lose weight and feel better. I am just so sick of no energy and not liking how I look.

I forgot to mention about the salsa. Some bottled salsa that's not refrigerated has added sugar so try to avoid it. Fresh salsa is better (tastes better too). I love Chevy's. Salsa is good for you too but during Induction you're still supposed to be careful with it (after all it is a carb). I would only use a small amount on your salad or eggs etc.
