Question cardio question

i was wondering if it's better to do a 60 min steady paced cardio or a 30 hour intence workout if i want to loose weight.....i've been doing the 60 min eliptical but haven't been too sure about which is more EFFECTIVE??!!!

I was told at the gym I go to, that 30 mins of intense is really good, then do 30 mins of something different to kind of shock your system..like 30 mins fast paced elipitical then switch to a power walk on the treadmill. Your body will already be in a fat burning mode so you wont have to work as hard. It takes 15 minutes to start burning fat. They also said that doing anything that can get your heart rate above your THR (target heart rate, mine is 127) will burn the same abount of calories. Good luck..hope it helps
