weight loss and age?
I never had to worry about my weight when I was younger but a few pounds have gained momentum over the years. I have heard so many times that a few extra pounds as we get older is o.k, "just in case" we get ill and need it. Somehow if that logic holds true I should be able to have any major surgery and have no problems. I do know however, that a more restrictive or fad diet is not good for me because I am not dealing with the same body I had when I was younger. I am not of the mentality that I should eat whatever I want because I deserve it, lived long enough already,or I might be hit by a runaway train. I just am a little concerned if less is more or is more o.k. as we get older, as long as we use moderation. I was raised during the time when mom made everything from scratch and you better clean your plate. There was always the starving children that I felt so guilty about. My body has served me well over the years like a dear friend. I now want to make sure it stays with me a little longer. Blessings!
