| | IBS/ Atkins.... This is odd...
Hi, all! This is a little strange but here goes. I have suffered from IBS for the past 20 years. In addition, I have developed a problem with nausea and vomitting in the past two years, which has become more severe in the past year. I would eat and within 1/2 hour, I would be completely nauseated and vomitting uncontrollably. I have had to pull over at the side of the road countless times to throw up (sorry for the yucky details!) This happens at least every other day. My dr. has tested me for gallbladder problems, and all kinds of stuff- nothing. Naturally, I have been warned off greasy, high-fat foods.
So here's where it gets weird... ever since I started Atkins, I have felt 100% better- no nausea, no vomitting, no diarrhea, no stomach cramps, nothing. But I am eating foods with butter, I am even eating bacon, which I have never eaten in my life! And I feel fine, I mean really good. Has anyone with IBS or similar problems experienced this? I almost feel like I am waiting for something to go wrong now, because it doesn't make sense to me!
