OK, so since I got back from vacation & realized I've put on a whopping 9 lbs over the last several weeks , I've had trouble getting back into the rhythm of things and had decided I was going to just do portion control. Well, I'm failing MISERABLY at that - I've eaten smaller portions, but that doesn't really help when you look at the crap I'm eating. One candy bar instead of two, two cookies instead of three, you get the idea. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif
So, I'm going to try to kick-start myself again by starting the 3-day diet on Monday, September 15. Anyone who wants to join me is more than welcome! I need to eventually get back into my routine of counting calories during the week, but I think for now I just need something really strict & planned out to get me on track.
I'm SO afraid that my scales will begin to creep up...as you know the SCALES say I only gained 4 pounds but I am SO worried b/c I ate VERY good while I was gone..and I don't mean salad either! LOL
I'm so afraid that I'm not going to be able to get back on track! I know we get ALL the support we can get on the Challenge, but just wanted you to know I'll help you anyway I can - and if it means checking in here to encourage you and cheer you on...I'll do just that!! I'm just going to try to get back with my low carb and low fat/calorie intake!
I need to get this 4 pounds off b/c as we know....4 multiplied x 2 = 8 and then "you know the rest of the story".......before you know it.....more than 10 creeps up and it seems to appear overnight!
You'll CAN DO THIS 3 day diet! You've done it before and so you can DO IT AGAIN!

I went shopping today at a nearby mini-mart & bought enough stuff to get me thru b'fast & lunch tomorrow, then I'll buy the rest of my groceries at a bigger store after work. Sounds great! I've been on my diet already for 4 days and lost 3 lbs so far (I don't usually weigh that often, but I can't help myself this time around). I did blow it yesterday. Had popocorn (lots of it) with my daughter at the movies http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/redface.gif (have you ever tried NOT to eat popcorn at the movies?) And then I just had to have a cheeseburger at IN & OUT. But today, I'm doing good. So starting Monday, I'll stick to it no matter what!

Hi Tad! Go to the "Search" page (you'll see a link to it at the top right of your screen, under the link to "new topic"). In the SEARCH WORDS box, type
3 day diet friends
When the results come up, read the topic called 3 DAY DIET FRIENDS. Notice there are two of them - you want the one that is not in "quotation marks." When you open it, you'll see that Dixie was kind enough to list three different versions of the 3-day diet. That thread should explain things pretty well, but let me know if you have any questions.
