Cytomel is a drug to treat thyroid disorders, do you have a thyroid problem? I hope you are not suggesting taking cytomel if you are not hypothyroid, that would be abuse of the drug. You would be using it for something that it is not meant for.

If you aren't hypothyroid, then I would suggest that you lose weight the old fashioned way. Change your diet (cut out refined foods and processed foods), and exercise.

I have a thyroid problem and believe me, if I didn't have to take a pill I wouldn't.

I agree with the other poster, I also have hypothyroidism and I would give anything to not have it and lose the weight naturally without the damn pills. Cytomel taken cautiously is safe, but I still would not reccommend it just to lose weight. It can cause the heart to speed up, can cause strokes, among other terrible things you would not want to experience. (I don't remember anymore sympotms of too much cytomel, memory loss is a big issue with me these days- hypoT's know what I talking about!)
