Essence...Sorry I fell off the wagon. I didn't even make it through day 2. I am doing the low calorie thing now. That is one thing I never tried, and I actually like it. Where is everyone else???
Hi I'm starting the mayo clinic diet tomorrow and was wondering how you all liked it? my grandma has been on this diet since january and she's lost 50 pounds, so I'm hoping to loose the 40-50pounds i need to loose!
haha!! That would be nice!! It's actually a long story and their are stories all over the internet stating this diet didn't originate from the Mayo Clinic..
So wether it did or didn't I know this diet works. My gradma's doctor put her on this diet, she had fluid around her heart. She's been on it for 9 months and lost 50 pounds!! I'm starting tomorrow and I'm excited about it!!However I've ate like crazy all weekend!!Hope this helps you out!! If you would like the specifics of the diet please let me know!!
Well, it's real simple, you follow the diet exactly for 12 days then you get 2 days off. So if you start the diet on monday you get everother weekend off. You can only have red and green veggies, no bread,desserts or sweet potatos. Limit sodas to diet caffiene free. There is a list of veggies you can have a website. just type in mayo clinic diet and you'll find some listings. don't be discouraged about the myths you may find on the site..oh, you can have cheese too!!
Breakfast:
1/2 grapefruir or g.f.juice
2 eggs (any style)
2 slices of bacon
Drink a lot of water
Lunch:
1/2 grapefruit or g.f. juice
meat(chicken,fish,steak,shrimp, just about any meat)
salad with any dressing.
(you can eat till full)
Drink a lot of water
Dinner:
1/2 grapefruit or g.f. juice
meat
a salad with any dressing OR veggies
Drink a lot of water
Before Bed: 1 glass tomato juice or skim milk.
Your suppost to eat till full, so you can have unlimited quantities. Do not eat between meals, you should have 64 oz water a day!!
There it is, I just finished my breakfast! Yummy!! I still trying to guzzel the juice, it isn't bad!!
