I have lost weight walking and I started out by only doing 1 mile a day. I remember reading somewhere that 1 mile a day is good, 2 miles is better and 3 miles is best to really see a loss in weight. Actually after 3 miles your body becomes more susceptible to virus and such. I walk 3 miles about 5 or 6 days a week and have lost 30 lbs in the process and I also watch what I eat.
