Re: Depressed someone help !! please

Hi,

So sorry to hear your weight is getting you depressed but I think I may be able to help. I have also had trouble shifting weight, I posted on here and was able to see where I went wrong by telling them exactly what I ate, what time and what exercise I have been doing. They really did help me, and the weight is now coming off (slowly but at least its shifting!).

I got a post from a lady named Jamie who works for a company who is involved with a product called 'cleansing', she claims that using the products for 9 days can help you shift up to 20lbs! No exercise required, but it is quite expensive. I haven't tried it myself but I looked on the website and it does look legitimate and safe. Personally I think having a sensible eating plan and exercising enough is a better option but if your desperate then maybe its worth a thought. I am sure she wouldn't mind you contacting her, I can't give you the website details but if you send me an e-mail then I will forward them *
Good luck

--xx--

P.S She has helped people with thyroid problems lose weight.

Re: Depressed someone help !! please

Why did your doctor discontinue your thyroid meds? Was it because you were feeling better and your lab tests showed you were in the "normal" range? That is the stupidest thing I ever heard of, how could a doctor stop a med that worked? Is he/she crazy? Once you are diagnosed with a thyroid problem it just doesn't go away. It's not a headache. You have it for the rest of your life. The reason you can't lose weight is because of your thyroid. If you use any type of diet pills it will only make your thyroid problem worse by further interfering with your metabolism. You will not lose weight until you are on the correct med at the correct dose.

It sounds like you need to learn more about your condition and you need to fire that incompetent doctor that you are seeing. Good Luck to you.

A year and a half ago, I was 180 lbs also. And I have thyroid disease. Most women feel best when their TSH levels are between 1-2 and when their free T3 and free T4 are mid-upper range. Also, the majority of women feel best and can lose weight a little easier..with Armour thyroid. My doctor had told me that my thyroid was fine, but after doing research, I found out that it wasn't...so I asked to be put on Armour. After that, I cut out flour and very little sugar, plus I exercised 30 minutes of sweating 5x/wk. I promise, after a couple of months, the weight started dropping off like crazy. You should try the South Beach diet...it's what my doctor had recommended (a low glycemic index diet) and both my husband and I are on it just to drop about 10 lbs.

To make a long story short...I went from a size 15 to a 6 and I feel so good about myself. I had increased my carbs and pants were getting snug, so that is when I started SBD...and it is so easy to follow.....DON'T GET DISCOURAGED, YOU CAN DO IT IF I DID!!! We will be here for you!
