hi, im not sure what cla is, but im sceptical of any products that claim to help weight loss. evening primrose and flax oil do not speed up weight loss but they do help by providing fatty acids which there may be a deficiency of in the diet. a much cheaper way to ensure you eat enough essential fatty acids would be 2 teaspoons of pure sunflower oil and 2 teaspoons of pure rapeseed oil (labeled as vegetable oil in tesco but has photo of yellow flowers). tastes horrible, but can be mixed with food, such as used to make a salad dressing, or mixed into some food.

remember not all fat is bad, keep saturated fat as low as possible, but dont eat less than 30g of fat per day or you wont be able to absorb fat soluble vitamins (a, d, e, k)

if cla claims to speed up metabolism, or stop food cravings, it probably wont work. metabolism can be speeded up by exercise (but dont overdo it). i lost lots of weight a years ago and had excess skin, maybe because i did cardio not weights? have put weight on again over the years and am now going to loose it again. food cravings arent always psychological, they can be a sign of something lacking in the diet. with me i only get hungry when i dont eat enough protein foods. make sure you eat enough protein for your body weight. (i cant remember how to work it out i think its something like 0.8g of complete protein per kg body weight per person per day, but im not 100% sure of that, you'll have to check with your dietician) remember that too much protein can be as harmfull as too little. also eat a multi vitamin/muli mineral tablet and make sure your eating everything you need to be eating.
