You have to remember, you will burn this fat, a lot quicker than any other fats. As far as counting the calories, it depends if you are trying to lose weight or not. Believe it or not, taking 3 tablespoons of flax oil a day will help you lose weight. How, by taking this, it speeds up your metabolism, causing you to burn more calories. I can say from my experience, I would NEVER give up taking my flax or fish oils. If you feel you are waisting empty calories, then take it early in the morning.
Just a question, why are you taking this? If you are taking it for more fat, then you may want to look ito Fish oil, rather than flax. I'm not sure if you also know this, but there are flax seeds. You can use them in anything! I put them in my protein shakes, salads, yogurts, mix fruit, etc. It just simply adds a nutty flavor. However, if you have joint pain or your skin needs to be cleared up, then I would keep taking flax oil.
