Question How much weight should I lose? HELP!

Hi, I am a younger teen, 14 to be exact, I am 5'1. I have been on Atkins, South Beach, Weight Watchers, but I just can't stay with it. So, I made up my own little dieting plan. Anyways, I was weighing 153.. I am now at 135.. I was wondering how much more weight I should lose? My goal was getting down to at least 125.. but what do you think I should be at? Thanks!

how do you feel (health wise) at the weight you're at now?
it doesn't sound like you have any real reason to worry at all unless you're not feeling healthy, in which case do what you need to do to have more energy and feel better. but don't start obsessing over how many pounds you are at 14. most of us fall into that trap and it can lead to a lifelong case of self-criticism and body hatred, never feeling quite good enough. it's not worth it! focus on how you *feel*, not how much you weigh.

I think I still need to get down to at least 125, or maybe 115, I want to be able to run around with friends and not get tired or feel like I have to stop and rest every few minutes. I was just wondering what other peoples opionions were, more will be appreciated! Thanks!

135 for 5'1" isnt bad nor is 125....115 in minimum for your height Like the others say, dont fall into the "body image" trap though.

You said you came up with a diet plan on your own. As long as you eat 5-6 small meals aday (about every three hours) This will keep your metabolism up to burn what stored fat you have.

Up your protein (if you havent already) cut any overprocessed/refined carbs (eat whole grains/veggies) and dropped sugary sodas.....you should be doing ok. Most times, it is not so much following a special diet like Atkins or South Beach as it is just moderating what you eat...period.

If you are having problems running around and getting winded, then exercise will help overcome that. It will help you burn the fat faster, keep your metabolism up, strengthen your body and help increase stamina. Some cardio and even some resistance lifting will do this. Just stay active overall.

Patience and give yourself time. After a few weeks of diet and exercise, you should notice your wardrobe feel abit looser although the scales will seem to say nothing has changed. It is...

Yeah I would say 125. Since you set that goal you should really go for it and prove you can do it. Don't be quitter. You're probably already at a good weight, but a little extra couldn't hurt. Once you're at 125 you can be very proud of yourself. And congratulations on losing those 18 pounds.
PS: What is your little diet plan? Make sure it's healthy and you're not starving yourself.
