Sugar

Are the sugars found in protein bars, energy bars and certain snack bars (like oatmeal bars) ok to eat even though im trying to lose fat?

I eat an oatmeal bar and a protein bar which combined has like 29 grams of sugar. I have 12% body fat and i weigh 131lb I want to get down to 8 or 9% body fat. I dont mind gaining muscle weight but i definitley want to lose fat weight. I just want to know if those sugars are ok and how much can i eat with out gaining fat?

Sugars are part of most diets but they are nevertheless EMPTY calories. The less sugar you can eat every day the better will be your weight loss, all things being equal.

Sugars have the horrible quality of being "non-filling" and you can easily down 800 calories before you can say "My scale's broken!"
