how much do perscription drugs hinder weight loss? im regretfully on depoprovera right now. i just read that this as well as other hormone and antidepressant drugs, etc. can affect your weight loss... i wonder by how much, though... does it prevent it entirely, slow it moderately, or have little effect? this is so discouraging to me. i have been religiously eating right and exercizing everyday... i promised myself in the begining i wouldnt weigh myself until my next drs appt the end of may, which will be approx 8 weeks into my "program" because i didnt want to be discouraged by a fluctuating scale... its hard to really notice a difference because i am significantly overweight and have alot to lose... my clothes do seem to fit more comfortably, although it might just be due to better posture and more self confidence, kwim? im not going to allow this little setback to derail me, but i think i would bust into tears if when i go to the dr, i havent lost a pound... and theres nothing i can do, but wait it out the 6 weeks till the stuff is finally- hopefully out of my system. its like why even bother doing anything the next 6 weeks if its all for nothing... i have willpower. i have the drive to want to succeed... when it comes to the things i can control. but i cant control this ugly little drug from messing up my chemistry. *sigh* i should just break down and step on the scale to ease my weary mind, but ugh- i cant start breaking promises to myself.
