I'd suggest eating as few carbohydrates as possible and start running a decent amount. Moderate excersise and you won't see much of a change, but going for a run after work a few times a week while eating very few carbs throughout the day should help out. I'm not sure what kind of shape you are in though. If you do too much too soon though you can end up hurting yourself.
