Okay, this is a kind of random question to post on a weight loss site, but since many of you seem knowledgable about nutrition and drinking water is one of the first things you're told to do to lose weight...I'll go for it.
I'm just wondering how I know if I'm drinking too much. I know it's possible to, and that athletes are told not to drink more than 8-16 ounces an hour because of all the salt they're losing. But I'm not much of an athlete

. And I eat a lot of salt. Still, I've been known to drink 3 liters in under an hour, and definitely between 6 and 10 every day (that is, when I'm home and working at my desk. Even if I go to school all day I probably drink between 5 and 8). I know there's no formula for how much is too much, but how will my body let me know if it is water-logged or salt-deprived?
Thanks!
