why aren't all foods like cheese? The fat free version tastes so much better, it melts better, I can't think of one solitary thing that regular cheese has better than Fat Free Cheese.

If it doesn't have fat in it, what is it made of? Is it one of those products where they replace the fat with tons of sugar?

Ewwww, fat free cheese tastes like plastic to me. That and it's too expensive. They want to charge outrageous prices for people who are simply trying to watch what they eat.

They can have it.

It's amazing how fat-free or low-fat foods are both yucky tasting and expensive! You would think foods with less fat would be cheaper to make and therefore cheaper in price to the consumer.

One of those mysteries to add to the why are baby clothes the same price as adult clothes? They use less material to make baby clothes so the prices should be very cheap!

I will NEVER understand how the economy works...

You would also think, that with the growing concern of the 'obesity epidemic' that food manufacturers would want to lend a hand and make their products affordable for everyone. But they're more interested in money than in peoples' health. They know we'll pay it, so they can charge it. But in many cases, the high price of health food forces those with little money to purchase higher-fat items.

This is one of the reasons that obesity is more often seen in low-income families.
