Question Jogging and diet?

For about the last week i have been trying to jog for about 1 hour a day. I end up running about 1 1/2 miles. At night i try to do about 200 crunches. Ive been trying to watch what i eat.. but then I get to where, Im not sure if im suppose to be watching the carbs.. or calories.

Is jogging everyday going to help? Also, is crunches a thing i should be doing, or is it just making my stomach bigger rather than making it flatter?

Jogging, no matter what speed or for what amount of time is definitely going to help you lose weight! Keep it up! And as far as crunches go...make sure you are doing them in the right form...this is key...and if you are, then they will definitely help to strengthen your core muscles.

Focus on calories in vs. calories out, because that is what ultimately matters. Don't pay attention to the carb thing, except, if you are eating bread, eat wheat, and if you are eating rice, eat brown...and limit your sweets. Good luck!!

Are you sure you are only going 1 1/2 miles? Thats a pretty slow jog - slower than walking! I walk 3 1/2 miles per hour, so either you are going further than you say, or you are not jogging for an hour!

Regarding your food - you should be measuring both calories AND carbs but restricting neither too drastically or more than necessary. Read the thread "How to Lose Weight " for an ideal formula:
