Re: Do you keep a food Journal !!

Oh my god! I couldn't get through the day without my food diary
I have a note pad section on my mobile phone so i can take it everywhere with me and write everything down that i eat or plan to eat throughout the day.
Im counting calories so it is the only way i can keep track of eveything I also keep track of how much water im drinking.
I really advise keeping a food diary because sometimes having the stuff written down in front of you can shock you into making changes and deffinately healps with the fine tuning
What eating plan are you on?

Re: Do you keep a food Journal !!

Ah, yes, the food diaries, I sure have one. I have been on a low calorie diet for a little over 4 months now, and every single day I have kept a journal. I write down my food, and it's calories. So far I have lost roughly 18-20lbs in those 4 months. I remember thinking I would try stopping w/ food journals on my 3rd month so I could try to do it by myself, but I realised that I felt more comfy writing down everything I eat. Good luck!

Re: Do you keep a food Journal !!

I've done it for many months with a separate 8 1/2 x 11 for each day with calories figured for everything (and for some weeks calories from fat/protein/carbs broken down.) Then I thought I could just eyeball it.

I want a 5-10 pound more loss and think that maybe getting back to the religious charting for 2000 calories is the only way I will get it. Otherwise, sloppiness sets in and our eyeballs get bigger and BIGGER!

Alright candyapple, I'll start tomorrow too...
or today, damn the torpedoes full speed ahead:

52 ounces of coffee with 3 ounces FF half&half (60 cal.)
2 HB eggs (160)
1 Tbsp Mayo (100)
1 banana (100)
12 cough drops (96)...caught a cold last night.
1 WHOPPER (OY!)...710 calories (If only I'd KNOWN I was gonna write it down)

Oh well,
I plan only a bowl of soup for supper, so my numbers should be goood today!

That Whopper was a rarity...friend dropped it off for the sick patient!

Good luck to anyone recording...We shouldn't do it on the board because that kind of thing wastes a lot of bandwidth but I guess we can mention how we're doing occasionally numberwise.
Anyone recording in EXCEL is going overboard!

I'm looking to take 215# to the 205-210 range with a net GAIN in muscle mass (working out like crazy this year...probably why I'm sick )

Re: Do you keep a food Journal !!

Well,
I brought the first day in at a respectable 2,316 calories. Today will be better because I won't have that surprise WHOPPER to worry about. Scale was kind (down 2) but I'm enough of a veteran that I know water weight when I see it (or feel it.)

Today it will be 2000 or BUST!
