| Protein shakes and weight loss
New here and wanted to get other opinions about protein shakes. I read on another message board that doing cardio workouts in the morning on an empty stomach, then having a protein shake for breakfast is supposed to help with weight loss. Is this correct? If so, where could I get these shakes?
Another question, off topic of protein shakes. I lost 9 pounds this last month, but only .3% body fat. Yes, .3! I don't get it! What am I doing wrong?
I started HIIT this morning, with 1-2 minute intervals of sprints, total workout of about 25-30 minutes (jogging in between), 3 times a week. I'm only able to do 4 or 5 sprinting intervals because I'm not in very good shape. For another 2-3 times a week, I'll do my DDR2 Max (Dance Dance Revolution) game (it has a workout session). Maybe my problem is not enough muscle strengthening? I am not consistent because I have to break up my workouts, cardio in the morning and strengthening in the evenings. Sometimes I'm so tired at night that I just skip the strengthening.
Any input on the protein shakes and/or workout tips would be appreciated!
